Engulfed: Artworks center for Contemporary art

I'm pleased that my painting "Fiery" has been selected for Artworks Center for Contemporary Art's next National Group Exhibition: Engulfed. Opening: July 14th, 6-9pm - September 30th

An exhibition shedding light on the crisis of forest fires across the globe. Artists respond to the forest fires by developing work that focuses on global warming, resource destruction, property damage, loss of life, wilderness protection, sustainability, political issues, fire mitigation, first responders, or broadly conceptual work dealing with the interpretation of “engulfed”.

"The stark nature of the plains are exaggerated by fiery skies from nearby wildfires. It seems this is the future's appearance, as clear blue skies are replaced by smoke-filled orange; buildings and trees flatten into the horizon as wild fires increasingly rage. The image is beautiful and brutal all at once, brutiful."
